GETTING MY LIFE BACK

Patti was the first woman to enter our Women's Shelter. One of the contributing factors to her becoming homeless was going through a divorce. Often homelessness is proceeded by a previous loss such as divorce or other broken relationships, health issue, or loss of a job. These are losses that happen to many people, but for some with limited income this can be an experience that leads to the loss of their home.

When I first came here I cried all the time. I didn't know what the future was going to be like for me . . . . I didn't want to live. I lost everything. This program gave me back my life.

In this interview Patti speaks about this loss, how Family Promise has helped her and hope for the future.
